Pyramid Scheme vs MLM

People I come across regularly misunderstood the different between the "Pyramid Scheme" and 'MLM" (Multi Level Marketing also known as Network Marketing). I would like to help to clarify the different between these two. Mainly the differences are in the way how the business operate.

"Pyramid Scheme" also called the "Ponzi scheme' is illegal worldwide! The entire purpose of a "Pyramid Scheme" is to get your money. They are primary from enrolment fees, and then use you to recruit others, so you can get theirs and so on.

"MLM" (Multi Level Marketing also know as Network Marketing) The entire purpose of a "MLM" is to market and sell products through network of people. There're hundreds if not thousands of such businesses with different products operating under Network Marketing plan worldwide since the "California Vitamin Company" formed in 1939 and re-branded to "Nutrilite" by Carl F. Rehnborg.

Unlike the "Pyramid Scheme", 'MLM" business have their own unique products and services marketing solely through their own network of distributors. There's no middle men like 'Global Distributors', 'Wholesalers', 'Retail Outlets'. The products and services are provided from the source and directly to their registered distributors, who are solely responsible all the sales and marketing, but mainly conducting their sales through person to person.

Video gaming is a 50 billion dollars industry

Music is a 70 billion dollars industry

Movie / Entertainment is a 110 billion dollars industry

"MLM" - Network Marketing is a 114 billion dollars industry

For me since I got involve with MLM, I never say below again for the past 7 years:

Is it 5 O'Clock yet

I need a holiday

I need a pay raise

I'm calling in sick

I need a day off

Is it lunch time yet

Don't call me at work

I hate Monday

Set the alarm for 5am

I don't spend enough time with my family

Where will you be 5 years from now in terms of your career and income by comparing from today?
